Unity First person camera and character

Before I started my unity project, I first set up my relevant files such as textures, scripts and materials then got started ,but before laying the foundation for my level I first had to set up a character place holder and a first person camera for it so that I could walk around and test it from time to time.

To do this I had to go into prefabs and find controller then character controller, this bought out two result which where the first and third person controller in which I dragged out onto the screen, afterwards a camera would appear if I then started the game preview i could walk around but have no body which is not what we want, so I went back and added a capsule shape as a placeholder for a character body then moved the first person controller to where the head would be on the capsule, I then tested it but found it still did not work I could move away but as soon as I turned around I could see the capsule and what we wanted was for the capsule to follow the camera as it was the body.

After this I once again found that for it to work this way I had to go to the side panel where first person camera and capsule where located, and move the capsule and place it into the subsections of the character controller, after testing the final time every thing worked well and although it took a long time to get this basic part done I went through trial and error which further helped me understand unity.
